What a difference in approaches in Australia.

The dichotomy of approaches adopted by different groups in influencing changes in the Organ and Tissue Donation landscape across Australia is quite striking. While some diligently work with politicians to enact substantive life-saving initiatives, others resort to challenging individuals through legal actions over trivial social media comments.

My commitment to this cause, recognised at both federal and state levels, reflects a dedication to fostering positive changes in legislation and awareness largely through the use of my own money and time.

I remain eager to contribute my experiences and passion to the valuable work of the Australian Organ and Tissue Authority, particularly in navigating this apparent divergence in strategies.

I continue to approach the OTA to participate in the Community Engagement Group discussions and will continue collaborating for the betterment of organ and tissue donation practices in Australia.
